The conversational assistant: from thought to action with reviewable drafts

Ideas arrive as half-formed thoughts, not as structured notes. Echo Notes' conversational assistant helps you work through a question and produces editable note or automation drafts you can inspect, edit, and approve before anything is created. You stay in control of what becomes part of your record.

01 · The problem

Ideas scattered across tools break the flow

You think of something important, but the idea stays stuck in your head because the tools available do not connect thinking with doing. You chat with an AI in one app, copy the result to a note-taking app, and then manually create a task. The flow breaks at every handoff.

Your problem
Ideas are scattered and moving content between separate tools breaks the flow.
Why it happens
Most tools separate conversation, note-taking, and task creation into disconnected experiences.
The cost
You lose momentum, miss details, or abandon the idea entirely.

02 · The solution

One workflow from conversation to creation

Describe a question, source material, or task in natural language. The assistant can summarize the context and prepare an editable note or automation draft. Echo returns a structured answer or action card with the title, body, destination, and impact.

You receive an inspectable draft and decide whether to edit, approve, or discard it. Nothing is created until you say so. The same approval rule covers both note drafts and automation drafts.

03 · The workflow

Turn a thought into an approved note or task

Follow these steps to capture and act on an idea.

  1. 1
    Describe the idea
Tell the assistant what you are thinking about, what problem you are solving, or what source material you want to work through.
  2. 2
    Review the draft
Inspect the proposed title, body, destination, and impact before anything is created.
  3. 3
    Edit or approve
Make changes to the draft if needed, then approve it to create the note or automation.
  4. 4
    Verify the result
Confirm the note is saved locally and the status shows as expected.

04 · Checklist

What to verify before approving a draft

Draft approval checklist
CheckWhat good looks likeIf it fails
TitleThe title accurately reflects the content.Edit the title before approving.
BodyThe body captures the key points without hallucinations.Edit the body or discard and regenerate.
DestinationThe note or automation goes to the right place.Change the destination before approving.
ImpactYou understand what will be created or changed.Review the impact section more carefully.

05 · Limitations

What the assistant requires

The assistant requires a configured AI service, available account usage, and a network connection. Conversation history currently stays in the browser in use and is not promised as cross-device history. AI features process only the content needed for each request and do not train foundation models.

Privacy boundaryYour conversations are not used to train AI models. Only the content needed for a request is sent to the provider. Details are in the Privacy Policy.
