Capture ideas. Keep tasks running in the cloud.

Echo Notes

Local-first notes and cloud automations

Write Markdown notes even when you are offline. Let AI organize them into editable drafts, review every change, and keep scheduled tasks moving after you close the browser.

  • Works offline
  • Saves locally first
  • AI asks before writing

From capture to action

Your ideas move forward only when you decide

Echo helps organize the work. You keep control over what is saved, changed, and scheduled.

  1. Capture the thought

Write a quick note or describe the problem you want to work through.

  2. Let Echo organize it

Generate structure, summaries, note drafts, or automation drafts without overwriting your content.

  3. Review and approve

Check the title, body, destination, and impact before anything is applied.

  4. Save or keep it running

Notes save locally first. Enabled cloud automations can continue on schedule.

Three connected capabilities

A quiet workspace from thought to follow-through

Conversations, notes, and automations form one continuous workflow instead of three disconnected tools.

  • Conversational assistant

Work through a question and create editable note or automation drafts. AI features require a configured service, network access, and available account usage.

  • Markdown notes

Create and edit locally first, organize folders, use task lists and rich Markdown formatting, and keep writing offline.

  • Cloud automations

Where the cloud task service is enabled, scheduled jobs can check public sources and leave run, delivery, and audit records.

AI organization

See the plan before it changes anything

When notes start piling up, Echo proposes a classification plan first. Accept individual suggestions, adjust the plan, or leave everything as it is.

  1. 1
    Select the notes
Organize one note or choose up to 100 notes for a batch.
  2. 2
    Inspect the proposed structure
Review destinations, current folders, and every suggested change.
  3. 3
    Apply only what you approve
Accepted changes apply atomically; the latest supported classification can be undone when no conflicts exist.

Local-first and explicit

Local-first does not hide the data boundary

Core note editing happens on your device first. Sync, AI, and cloud automations send the minimum data required to provide the feature you choose.

Read the complete privacy boundary

  • Core editing works offline

Keep editing notes and folders without a connection while pending changes remain on your device.

  • Sync status stays visible

Local save, syncing, synced, offline, and failure states are shown separately.

  • AI writes only after approval

A draft does not become a note or task until you confirm the action.

  • The server owns task truth

Automation controls become read-only offline; run and audit records remain server-managed.

Frequently asked questions

Offline work, sync, and AI

Can I use Echo Notes offline?

Core note and folder editing works offline. The assistant, AI classification, account actions, and changes to cloud automations require a connection.

Where are my notes stored?

New and edited notes first save to the current browser's local database. When you are signed in and online, pending changes can sync to the server with separate local and sync status indicators.

Can AI change my notes without approval?

Note and automation drafts require your approval before creation. Classification also presents a plan first, and the latest supported classification can be undone when no conflicting edits exist.

Do automations continue after I close the browser?

In deployments where cloud automations are enabled, active tasks are scheduled by the server and do not require the browser to stay open. Availability depends on deployment configuration.

Which features require a connection?

Sign-in, cloud sync, AI conversations and classification, and cloud automation controls require a connection. Offline mode still supports local note editing and cached task snapshots.
